According to me, the following are the general and most basic requirements. Stricter laws and a faster justice system is reqd. A just representation and participation should be ensured in all administrative institutions. The security forces need to be more vigilant and so should be the citizens. In the end, no amount of law enforcement etc. can completely help. The only sure shot way to eradicate gender discrimination is changing mindsets. Corrective education, and open discussions like these are very important.
I agree with Shefali as most people become to ambitious about this issue and start demanding new laws but what they don't realize that in countries like Yemen and India, where gender discrimination is very prevalent, eradicating gender discrimination will prove to be a mammoth task and require all hands on deck and not just pure ambition
